How long will the UK heatwave last?
The UK is preparing for a predicted heatwave later this week.
Forecasters have said that Wednesday could not only be the hottest day of this year but the hottest day since July 2006.
According to the Met Office, we could see temperatures of up to 33 degrees Celsius.
They say southerly winds are blowing the warm weather from Spain and Africa towards the UK.
Hot and humid
As well as being hot, it will also be very humid, which means there will be a lot of water vapour in the air.
It might make it more uncomfortable to sleep, and could also cause a few thunderstorms.
The Met office have issued a weather alert warning young and elderly people to take care in the heat.
The weather is expected to stay warm for the next few days until Sunday, when cooler Atlantic air will blow in.
